Violent taxi crash on Saturday evening in Charlottenburg. Two people were seriously injured and another slightly.

According to the police, a 44-year-old taxi driver drove to the intersection of Otto-Suhr-Allee/Cauerstrasse/Leibnizstrasse at around 0.50 a.m. and crashed into a 33-year-old taxi at high speed. This car had the right of way.

As a result of the collision, the 33-year-old’s taxi was thrown against a traffic light pole. The driver was injured in the arms and legs and had to be treated as an outpatient in a hospital.

The occupants of the 44-year-old’s car, a man and a woman (both 72), were seriously injured in the accident. Rescue workers took her to the hospital with severe bleeding injuries to her head and neck.

The intersection had to remain closed while the accident was being recorded and the two taxis were being recovered.
