When the Islamic State beheaded its most famous hostage, Oussama Atar from Brussels was personally present. This is evident from new revelations from the French news site Mediapart. He quotes from the interrogations of two ‘Beatles’, the nickname of the British jailers who also included executioner ‘Jihadi John’ and of whom Atar was the direct superior.
