A 17-year-old heard an alarm system on Wednesday evening when he walked across Gatower Strasse in Spandau at around 5:40 p.m. Shortly thereafter, he saw two people climbing over a fence from a property. As they got into a rental vehicle and continued their escape, he quickly snapped a photo of the license plate.
He gave the photo to the police, who had already been called by a neighbor and a resident of the house.
The officers were able to stop the car less than an hour later and arrest the thieves – two men aged 28 and 30. They still had the stolen goods with them.
