In order to assess how badly Omikron hits us, other data must also be consulted: Hospital admissions, intensive care beds, deaths.
How bad the omicron wave is in the hospitals cannot yet be answered conclusively. But there are first indications from northern German states where omicron first arrived – sometimes with incidences of over 2,000.
