Büyükekşi congratulated the national team in a statement to the AA correspondent after the Czechia match played in Gaziantep and ended with a 2-1 victory.
Stating that the nationals put on a good game, Büyükekşi continued as follows:
“We had a goal of organizing national matches in Anatolia. We fulfilled that as well. Playing a match for the first time in Diyarbakır and after 21 years in Gaziantep is of course good, but a good game and fair play are more important. Besides, our 4 national players are at the top of the list today. They played for the first time. Arda, Tayyip, Samet and Onur. Very good in that respect. Also, we made a jubilee for a teacher for the first time in Turkey. He has managed more than 1,600 matches in his career, managed the semi-finals in the World Cup, and the final in the Champions League He is a referee. We did this to be a role model for the referees.” said.

Büyükekşi stated that the national team always acts in line with its goals and made the following assessment:
“The next goal of the Turkish National Team is to participate in the 2024 European Championship. Our first match for this is in Armenia, and then we will play a match in Croatia. We decided to play it in Anatolia again. We will do it in Bursa today. I would like to share it with you. I would like to call out to the football fans of Bursa. Reminding that 4 football players wore the A National Team uniform for the first time in the Czech Republic match and one of them was Arda Güler, Büyükekşi also said the following about the young player:
“Arda is a very special talent. In Diyarbakır, the audience chanted ‘Arda, Arda’ and they did it here as well. But what did our teacher do, almost all of the players in the camp played in Diyarbakır and here. He made an effort to see the potential of all the players. “For this reason, I thank our teacher very much. This is rejuvenation. It is really important for a 17-year-old player like Arda to play in the National Team. Arda will do better. Time is needed.
