Peter R. de Vries Foundation: 100,000 euros for golden tip in Rosleny murder case

After the silent march in memory of Rosleny Magdalena from Zuidoost, who was murdered six years ago today, the Peter R. de Vries Foundation has announced that there is a reward of 100,000 euros for the golden tip that leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator.

25,000 euros has also been made available for the tip that leads to the identification of the cyclist captured on camera images. To claim (one of) these amounts, the golden tip must have been received by the Foundation before May 17, 2023.

Six years ago today, Rosleny left home around 8 a.m. to take her daughter to the Lotus School, on Holendrechtplein. At the same time, a cyclist appears at the viaduct of the Holendrechtdreef. This is near the Vomar. The cyclist appears to be arriving from the Ochtenhof. After Rosleny has dropped off her daughter and cycles under the overpass, she appears to be followed by the cyclist in a rain suit who hung around there earlier. When Rosleny cycles at the bridge at the Maldenhof, she is shot at. It is then about 8.15 am. Unfortunately, resuscitation is of no avail. She dies on the spot.

Since then, this has been one of the cases that crime reporter Peter R. de Vries has become involved in. The Peter R. de Vries Foundation is continuing with it and is looking for the golden tip that leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator.

The police investigation can also be helped further if the identity of the cyclist can be established. After all, this cyclist can be the perpetrator or a very important witness. That is why the Peter R. de Vries Foundation is offering an extra 25,000 euros to establish the identity of this person. This cyclist, man or woman, is probably between 170 cm and 185 cm. Wore a raincoat with a white and/or reflective stripe on the shoulders and rode a women’s bicycle. A bag can be seen over the shoulder.

Three years after Rosleny’s murder, Peter R. de Vries spoke to AT5 about this case. “I think the case has ingredients that indicate that the solution is possible. That is why I want to do everything I can to encourage everyone to go the extra mile, to take an extra step. My conviction is that it is possible and then it should be.”

“Speak now!

Kelly de Vries, director of the Peter R. de Vries Foundation: “The police were about to hand over this murder case to the cold case team. The Peter R. de Vries Foundation wants to do everything possible to solve this case now, because there must be people who know what happened. Speak now! This can also be done anonymously, via our tip form.”
