Gordon almost saw his birthday fall into the water again this year. It seems that criminals have been busy planning an assassination attempt. “To guest John van den Heuvel.”
Gordon’s birthday, July 6, had a black edge last year. It was the day on which Peter R. de Vries was shot in Amsterdam. Because John van den Heuvel was one of the costumed guests at Gordon’s theme party, the festivities ended abruptly: the crime journalist was rushed away by the police.
Assault on John
Gordon almost saw his birthday fall into the water again this year, and again because of John. The crime journalist received a shocking call from the Public Prosecution Service a day in advance, last July 5, with the central question: “Are you going to Gordon’s birthday party in Dubai tomorrow?”
John then: “No, why?”
The OM: “We have just received the information that during Gordon’s birthday lunch – as soon as you appear as a guest – they want to attack you.”
Gordon is shocked
John decides to call Gordon whether the information is correct, can be read in the new book ‘John van den Heuvel, a lustrum long extreme security’. “Are you going to celebrate your birthday tomorrow?” he asks him.
Gordon then confirms: “Yes John, with an extensive lunch, here in Dubai.”
The information from the authorities appears to be correct. When John then tells his good friend Gordon about the threat, ‘he is shocked’, can be read in the book.
