The German dressage riders celebrated five successes in the Grand Prix Freestyle at the home World Cup in Stuttgart.
Ingrid Klimke from Münster prevailed on Saturday in the saddle of Franziskus with 83.440 percentage points ahead of Isabell Werth with Quantaz (Rheinberg/82.030) and Benjamin Werndl on Daily Mirror (Tuntenhausen/81.885).
Frederic Wandres with Bluetooth (Hagen/81.580) and Dorothee Schneider with Faustus (Framersheim/80.290) rounded off the strong result.
“I didn’t expect that. I’m totally overwhelmed,” said eventing specialist Klimke after her new personal best in the winner’s interview: “I would have been happy with second or third place.”
Double Olympic champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl saddled her second horse Ferdinand in Stuttgart. The duo from Tuntenhausen came in tenth with 78.205 percentage points. The next World Cup stop is in the Spanish capital Madrid from November 24th to 26th.
