The rain gauge installed at Valencia airport has collected nearly 150 liters per square meter in the last 24 hours, more than half of this amount in the first hours of the day, from 06:00.
The storm has especially affected the western part of the Valencia metropolitan area -where the airport is located-, with rainfall in the form of hail and winds close to 80 kilometers per hour.

The firemen of the Provincial Consortium of Valencia have carried out several rescues of people trapped in vehicles and homes in Paterna, Manises, Aldaia, Riba-Roja and Quart, and they have also evacuated a man whose vehicle had been trapped in a Torrent ravine and who was on the car at the time of the rescue.
The rest of the services, as reported by the Consortium, correspond to bilge, façade sanitation or removal of fallen trees. One of these services is being developed in the Riba-roja health centeralthough specialists are still assessing the situation, the same sources have reported.
