★★★★ This is the story of a young soldier who becomes much more: he will be, over the years. Alfred, Bruce Wayne’s butler -ergo, Batman. With a rare quality of framing, he is a bit of James Bond (a lot of the Bond of the novels), a bit of melodrama, a bit of humor, and he stands beyond the universe of which he is a part. Closer to the cinema, than most of the movies on the bill. The soundtrack is a case of applause apart.
