The unemployment benefit of a person is equivalent to 70% of the regulatory base of the last salary that the unemployed person will receive. That 70% of the regulatory base appears broken down in any of the payrolls that the beneficiary received in his last job. The benefit is 70% during the first 180 days of unemployment and then drops during the rest of the benefit period to 50%. However, the SEPE establishes caps according to salaries, which vary depending on the number of dependent children.
No dependent children: 1,153.33 euros gross
1 dependent child: 1,318.10 euros gross
2 or more dependent children: 1,482.86 euros gross
It also sets minimum amounts, in the case of the lowest wages, which are 527.24 either 705.18 euros gross per month, depending on whether or not they have dependent children.
