Salihamidzic comments on the situation at Bayern again via Twitter

Salihamidzic from FC Bayern once again had a strong opinion on Twitter at the weekend. However, this does not mean sports director Hasan, but his 19-year-old son Nick. He is currently on loan from Munich to Canada, but likes to send one or two controversial tweets to the Bundesliga from overseas.

He’s done it again: Nick Salihamidzic, currently active for the Vancouver Whitecaps, spoke up via Twitter and commented on the situation at German soccer series champions FC Bayern.

What makes the comments of the 19-year-old defender so spicy: Salihamidzic is under contract with Munich until 2025, is only loaned to the Whitecaps until the end of 2023, and is also the son of sports director Hasan Salihamidzic. Apparently the youngster doesn’t want to hold back.

Now Nick Salihamidzic has (again) commented on the striker discussion at FC Bayern, which flared up in recent weeks and months after Robert Lewandowski’s departure to FC Barcelona – which the defender also commented on – after Eric Maxim Choupo’s recent strong performances -Moting but fell silent.

The said Choupo-Moting has already scored ten goals in 14 games across all competitions, and the center forward has even scored in the last four games in a row in the Bundesliga, twice at the weekend against Hertha BSC (3:2).

Salihamidzic: Choupo-Moting the best nine in the world?

A reason for Salihamidzic to tweet again. “Hot take of the day: is Choupo currently the best 9 in the world?” wrote the 19-year-old. A statement that could evoke an echo.

Less than two weeks earlier, Salihamidzic had tweeted maliciously during FC Bayern’s guest appearance at FC Barcelona (3-0) immediately after Choupo-Moting’s 2-0 goal in the meantime in the direction of Lewandowski, who had migrated to Barca and remained pale in this game: “When do you think Lewy will regret leaving?”

It is not known how Papa Hasan finds his offspring’s tweets. In any case, Nick himself explained his appearance on social media by defending his father.

“You may be wondering why I am so active, my dad has been actively bullied by the media and by fans. He has worked very hard every day and now he is getting the praise and recognition that he and I am so proud of him and his work,” wrote the 19-year-old in the summer. “I’m his number one supporter and I’ll always show that no matter what.”

Salihamidzic junior has played in FC Bayern’s junior teams since he was a junior. Last summer, he was loaned out to the Vancouver Whitecaps, Alphonso Davies’ former franchise, on a year-and-a-half loan.

There, the 19-year-old plays for the second team, but still follows the game in Europe with an alert eye – and quick fingers on social media.
