Short track star Xandra Velzeboer has once again made a name for herself. A week after her victories in the 500 and 1000 meters at World Cup competitions in Montreal, the 21-year-old Dutch improved the world record in the 500 meters in Salt Lake City on Friday.
Velzeboer clocked a time of 41.416 in the series of the second world cup of the 500 meters. With that she was much faster than the Canadian record holder Kim Boutin, who came to 41,936 exactly three years ago in Salt Lake City.
