Gökmen Barış, former football player of MKE Ankaragücü, one of the Spor Toto Super League teams, passed away.
In a statement made by MKE Ankaragücü Club, “We learned with deep sadness the news of the death of our former football player Gökmen Barış. May God have mercy on the deceased, we express our condolences to his sad family, loved ones and the Turkish sports community.” statements were included.
Gökmen Barış, born on January 19, 1974, who worked as an assistant coach in various teams in the Super League, also wore the jerseys of Yimpas Yozgatspor, Metropolitan Municipality Ankaraspor, Elazigspor and Dandanelspor during his football years.
Gökmen Barış, who was first transferred to MKE Ankaragücü in 1994, took charge in the yellow-dark blue team for 6 seasons. Gokmen, who played in Yimpas Yozgatspor in 2000-2001 and returned to his old team in 2001-2002, wore the MKE Ankaragücü uniform for three more seasons.
