MyNFT introduces the first physical vending machine for non-fungible tokens. The machine will be unveiled during the NFT.London conference in November, the NFT marketplace said on Thursday.
The physical machine allows the purchase of an NFT without owning a digital wallet, making the technology more accessible to prospects. Buyers can purchase up to five NFTs for £10 each, with some NFTs potentially worth up to £1,000.
“There is so much potential in the NFT market and it is a shame to see some of it going to waste when potential new entrants are being held back from participating by various unnecessary and complicated obstacles,” said Hugo McDonaugh, co-founder of MyNFT. The company’s goal is to make NFTs an everyday activity, McDonaugh said.
MyNFT’s vending machine will be set up in front of the Queen Elizabeth II Centre, the venue of the conference, to give both participants and passers-by the opportunity to buy a non-fungible token. All proceeds from the machine will be donated to Giveth and Ronald Dahl’s Marvelous Children’s Charity, a children’s charity.
