FC Schalke has had another chaotic week. It was actually expected that the club would announce its new coach on Wednesday. Instead, S04 announced the surprising withdrawal of sports director Rouwen Schröder for personal reasons. “Without the work of Rouven Schröder, FC Schalke 04 would no longer exist in its usual form. Everyone at Schalke deserves their thanks for that,” said board member Peter Knäbel. A day later there was finally good news for all Schalke fans: The Revierklub found a new coach in Thomas Reis. The former Bochum coach is on the sidelines for the Knappen for the first time today.
