Children learn to estimate the dangers of agricultural vehicles

Children from primary school De Krekel in Roesbrugge, near Poperinge, learned today to estimate the turning angle of a tractor with a plow. The teaching material for this is contained in an educational lesson case. This also includes Virtual Reality glasses with which they can already practice in class, but this morning the real work followed, with a real agricultural vehicle.

“Projects like this are very welcome in our rural area,” says MP Loes Vandromme from Poperinge. “Many cyclists and pedestrians no longer know the dangers of heavy agricultural vehicles. On the other hand, drivers of large machines must also be aware of the very vulnerable position of vulnerable road users.”

Schools can lend the lesson case through the Huis van het Kind.
