Lecture by Filip Dewinter in Kessel-Lo gets out of hand: figurehead Vlaams Belang attacked at book launch, police deny that activists dealt blows
As expected, Vlaams Belang figurehead Filip Dewinter had to take a few things before the start of his book presentation in Kessel-Lo on Saturday evening. It was already clear when almost 500 people had signed the protest petition earlier this week that the lecture on ‘Omvolking’ would not go without a hitch. “I know that the left does not want me to talk about ‘population’, but I did not expect that people try to prevent me from doing this with physical violence,” said Dewinter in a first reaction. The Leuven police wrote an official report against the man who attacked Dewinter, but deny that it came to blows or kicks.
