The former ski jumping dominator Maren Lundby is celebrating her comeback in the World Cup after more than a year and a half.
“I am happy to announce that I will be attending the World Cup in Wisla next weekend”the 28-year-old Norwegian wrote on Instagram: “I can’t wait to be part of the ski jumping family again.”
Outstanding jumper
Lundby skipped the whole of last winter due to weight gain and has openly communicated this. In previous years, Lundby was mostly the outstanding jumper in the World Cup. Lundby said that she is not yet in her best form but wants to fight for the top 15 places.
“Overall I’m proud to see that all the hard work of the last year and a half is starting to pay off.”
