The key to knowing how to interpret the times

It is something I heard some time ago, and it is an analysis based on a reading of the times through the history of humanity.

Nature is evolutionary and cyclical at the same time. In other words, it evolves through cycles. These cycles, also called seasons, are what provide the natural processes for life. Each season and climatic phenomenon has the purpose of endowing ecosystems with different capacities necessary for birth, growth, strengthening and fruition, which serves for the realization and feedback of all the expression of life in each system.

Each stage or situation is useful for something. We end up defining that something with the interpretation we give it and how we act accordingly at the time. That is where one’s conscious or unconscious responsibility lies. In how we respond to the given situation.

What happens, like weather events or seasons, we cannot change, but we can decide how to use them. Against us, resisting change, complaining as a victim, or accepting the inevitable and leveraging it in our favor. It will depend on the question we ask ourselves about the situation.

“What’s the best I can do with this?”

There are seasons, situations, processes that we like more than others, but when we understand the inevitable cycles of life, instead of suffering through them, we can better prepare ourselves to navigate them!

If something is happening, it is because it is exactly what you need to happen. Although at the time you may not understand it.

If it rains, it is because hydration is needed. If there is wind, it is because it needs to be strengthened to fix what is growing, rooting it and also spreading seeds, resources to expand and nurture.

The cold of winter is for deep work. It is not seen, because it is not at a superficial level. It is a time to work on mental, emotional and spiritual strength. It is in the hard moments where character is forged. There will always be winters, GET READY!

Winters do not last forever, even though sometimes it seems too long due to the harshness of the experience, but spring always comes.

Spring brings new opportunities to use the strengths and skills worked on during the winter to make the most of them. You just have to know how to read the time and be prepared.

Summer follows. It is the time to give life and protect your values. They are those things, people and projects that are most important in life. Protect what has been conquered with determination.

Fall is for those who put in the work and appreciated every experience and learning without giving up. It is the harvest season. It is time to collect the fruits of work and dedication with effort and patience during all that has passed.

Of course, those who gave up during the winter and slackened by impatience or did not manage anxiety to skip the natural processes of a purposeful life, will not have fruits to reap or will not obtain all that they could have.

This life is designed to respond to DESERVING and not NEEDING

Several years ago, when I decided on the message I wanted to convey by writing and speaking, I felt that values were at stake both in the present and in the future.

Values are expensive, that’s why they’re worth it; because they cost us. What we protect the most is because it represents what we value the most.

The processes of life are to cultivate and strengthen them to express the best of being human. Otherwise, we will only be products of primitive sensual impulses that demand immediate gratification in the name of survival.

The latter is the breeding ground for weak people. Because they succumb to satisfying a need of the moment, thus lacking the necessary character rooted in a focused, strong spirit, committed to a superior good, much more virtuous and superior than the momentary pleasure of those who knew how to hold on to the strong wind, the penetrating cold in the darkest night of uncertainty, as well as having endured the intense scorching heat, understanding that life happens FOR him and not AGAINST him.

Someone said that “life and business are like the seasons”.

They are there, they just happen.

But as leaders, entrepreneurs, businessmen, as a country, we need to decide if we use them to weaken ourselves and suffer them or to strengthen ourselves by taking advantage of them to make us better people and creating better communities and companies in which to live and work.
