Middlesbrough, one of the English Championship teams, has appointed former Manchester United football player Michael Carrick to the position of coach.
In the statement made by the club, it was stated that 41-year-old Carrick will be appointed as the manager of Chris Wilder, who was dismissed in the first days of October due to the bad results.
Middlesbrough are in 21st place with 17 points in 16 league games this season and are struggling to stay in the relegation.
English Carrick, who temporarily coached Manchester United, which he played for between 2006-2018 during his football career, in 2021, will give his first serious test in his coaching career with the Middlesbrough team.
