Professor Ilse Degreef (50) made the news on Thursday when she drove her shiny new Harley Davidson into a KU Leuven auditorium for a good cause. “Some colleagues may think that something like this doesn’t fit with the ‘dignity’ of our profession,” says Degreef, “but that’s the advantage of turning fifty: I don’t care much about it anymore.”
