Baseball club RCH appoints former player Joshua Zara as new coach

The baseball players of RCH have said goodbye to Nicky Heij after one year. Joshua Zara has been appointed as his successor at the club from Heemstede. The 32-year-old coach starts his first job in professional baseball.

So far, Zara has only had experience with lower playing baseball teams. As a player, he played for RCH in the past. At that time, the club still played in the transition class under coach Marlon Frolijk. Next, Zara played in the big league for ADO and Twins Oosterhout. He also made a trip to softball with Vennep Flyers.

Last year, RCH finished sixth in the big league and third in the relegation pool. RCH returned to the baseball big league after years of absence last season.
