Singer Erika Vikman received huge feedback from the last episode of Vain läämää. There was also hate speech among the relevant messages, which Vikman decided to address on his Instagram account.
In the “Only life” episode, the discussion that sidestepped the theme of bullying received positive feedback from the viewers, but the artist says that he also received criticism and hate speech for his performance outfit, as he performed in a red bodysuit.
– Misogyny. Erika hate. Freaking out. Confusion, Vikman sums up the criticism directed at him.

The artist reveals that one message in particular that humiliated him stuck in his mind.
Another woman accused in her message that Vikman degrades women in the way he performs, and therefore the nasty comments he received are the singer’s own fault.
– In his opinion, the damage I’m experiencing is self-inflicted and I just have to endure it like a woman, Vikman specifies in his publication.
– In 2022, it should be clear that no one will be molested or described with derogatory terms with vomiting emojis based on how they look, how they dress or what they say in their songs, Vikman intervenes in the hate speech he receives.
According to him, the biggest problem is people’s attitudes and problematic online behavior. Because of criticism or hate speech, Vikman is not going to change himself, but hopes that people will change their attitudes.
The singer emphasizes that everyone should have the freedom to express themselves and be their own person without humiliating or degrading comments.
