of the Washington Capitals Yevgeny Kuznetsov has received a one-game suspension after poking the Vancouver Canucks with a stick Kyle Burroughs in the face in the match played the night before Tuesday.
Kuznetsov’s dangerous-looking power volley came in the second period after he had missed the finish line. The Russian star was sentenced to a two-minute session. Burroughs, on the other hand, left the scene holding his chin, but avoided serious injury.
