Two suspects arrested after stabbing and series of burglaries in Zwevezele

A 45-year-old man from Zwevezele is suspected of attempted murder. He had injured another person with a knife. Both are no strangers to the court. It is not yet known what the two were arguing about. The suspect .will be brought before the investigating judge tomorrow

That same night, two homes on the Hille in Zwevezele were also broken into. The police caught the burglar in the act. The police and the public prosecutor do not want to say anything more about this for the time being. The perpetrator is still being interrogated.

In any case, both incidents cause some commotion among the residents of Zwevezele, a borough of Wingene. Some saw a lot of combi’s at a gas station on Hille last night. Others then heard shots. The police cannot confirm these last two rumors, but they are not denying them either.
