Roni Kytönen returned Finland to the medal base in the enduro World Championship.
The fourth place in the penultimate race of the season in Germany ensured the Jämsä native a World Championship silver in the Junior GP class.
– This is a reward for the success of the season, Kytönen rejoiced in the press release after the race.
For decades, Enduro was a real medal challenge for Finland. Year after year, the World Cup medals came in a bargain. The last few years have been quieter, but in addition to Kytönen, a new generation is rapidly rising towards the top of the series.
Also on Sunday in the final race of the season Samuli Puhakainen there is a chance to grab a World Cup medal in the Youth Cup.
