Coach Christian Streich has returned to the pitch at SC Freiburg after surviving the corona infection.
The 57-year-old headed the final training session of the Bundesliga soccer team before traveling to the Europa League group game at FC Nantes (Thursday, 6:45 p.m. / RTL+).
Streich missed the first leg against the French Cup winners last Thursday (2-0) and the league game at Hertha BSC (2-2) on Sunday because of his infection.
Streich’s assistants Lars Voßler and Florian Bruns, who had also tested positive for the corona virus, were back on the pitch during training. The only assistant coach who, according to the club, is currently absent is Patrick Baier.
Freiburg have all won the first three games in Europa League Group G. In Nantes they can already make it clear that they will enter the knockout phase.
