October 10 is World Mental Health Day. Journalist Tuija Pehkonen published an honest article on the subject.

Reporter and presenter Tuija Pehkonen published in honor of World Mental Health Day on his Instagram account a publication in which he openly said that his mental well-being had been genuinely tested on a few occasions.
– On two occasions I have been really, really bad. One of the dates was at the beginning of my working career, the other in recent years.
Pehkonen describes himself as a person who reacts sensitively to his surroundings. She writes that she recognizes many traits of a nice girl in herself and talks about her tendency to easily think about her own actions and the goals she has set.
– I set the bar high, I get stressed. I pondered at night, I beat myself up during the day. Taking care of your own well-being is forgotten.
Pehkonen continues by telling about two challenging periods in his life. Both have been united by the unnecessary accumulation of things from many directions at the same time.
– There have been too many unpleasant surprises, bad news and headwinds. In both periods, I have tried to keep a smile on my face, completed and continued forward without stopping, he continues.

– It’s really okay to say that you’re not feeling well, that you can’t take it.
Pehkonen continues his writing by telling about the meaning of therapy and close people to him.
– What do I want to say with all this? That each of us has a fragile mind. It needs gentleness, care and understanding. In the same way as each of us anyway.
