Tough group for Ronald Koeman with Orange on the way to European Championship 2024

The Dutch national team plays in the qualification for the European Championship 2024 against world champions France, Ireland, Greece and Gibraltar. The draw this afternoon in Frankfurt showed that. Because of the group win in the Nations League, the team of future national coach Ronald Koeman had a protected status.

The qualification for the European Football Championship in Germany starts next March and lasts until November 2023. The numbers one and two qualify directly for the European Championship.

If the Dutch national team does not finish in the first two, the Orange will end up in the play-offs. Twelve countries will have to compete for the last three tickets for the European Championship. Because of the group win, the Orange has an extra safety net.
