The Bear: King of the Kitchen – Season 1

After his brother’s suicide, young star chef Carmy Berzatto goes back to his roots and takes over the family business – a run-down sandwich shop that is on the verge of bankruptcy. “The Bear” manages to find the perfect balance between bittersweet comedy and serious family drama right from the first episode. A particular highlight of the series is the soundtrack handpicked by series creator Christopher Storer (“Eighth Grade”), which largely consists of timeless classics from big bands like Pearl Jam, Radiohead and Genesis.

Admittedly, Christian Zübert’s buddy stoner comedy “Lammbock” was never considered particularly rich – but it was all the more charming, endearing and, above all, funnier. For the sequel, which was released in 2017, the main actors Lucas Gregorowicz and Moritz Bleibtreu slipped back into their prime roles as stoneheads Stefan and Kai. While one now lives in Dubai as a wealthy star lawyer, the other still runs the notorious pizza and weed delivery service from the previous film. However, when the two meet again by chance and smoke a joint together, the misfortune takes its course.
Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi – Season 1

As the first anthology series in the Star Wars universe, Tales of the Jedi promises above all to introduce previously unknown details and backgrounds of popular characters into the Lucasian canon. Despite its anthology character, the animated series is intended to pursue two main narrative strands. On the one hand, the focus should be on the childhood and youth of the Jedi candidate Ashoka Thano, already known from “The Clone Wars”. On the other hand, Star Wars fans will probably also see a young Count Dooku for the first time – before his switch to the dark side of the force.
