Passenger slips into a Transavia flight without control in Rotterdam: aircraft makes a stopover in Madrid | Inland

A Transavia flight from Rotterdam to Malaga made a stopover in Madrid tonight because a passenger had slipped into the plane unseen. The passenger was disembarked by the Spanish police. This is confirmed to this site by Transavia and the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee. It would be a Russian woman.

The passenger in question is being questioned by the Spanish police. The luggage racks of the aircraft were also checked for the possible presence of items that did not go through security at the airport in Rotterdam. The plane is now on its way to its final destination Malaga.

After the stopover in Madrid, passengers were told by the captain that a Russian woman had boarded the plane in Rotterdam who did not have a ticket. The woman would be at the security check put luggage on the belt and then pressed an emergency button, which brought everything to a standstill and caused consternation. She then fled – without being checked by airport security personnel – onto the apron and boarded the nearest plane unnoticed.

Strange behavior

That was the Transavia plane to Malaga, which took off around 4:30 PM this afternoon. The woman is said to have exhibited strange behavior on the plane. She would have spoken about human trafficking and wanted to speak to the ambassador. The aircraft then made a stopover in Madrid. Just after ten o’clock tonight, the flight could finally continue its journey towards Malaga.

The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee confirms that a ‘passenger entered the apron unseen and boarded a plane’. “The plane took off with this passenger,” a spokesperson said in a brief statement. ‘As soon as the Marechaussee found out about this, we immediately informed the captain. The captain then decided to land in Madrid. The person was taken off board there by the Spanish police.’ The spokesman says he has no further details about the passengers. ‘The Marechaussee is investigating the case.’

Flight to Faro also makes a stopover

Not only the plane to Malaga made a stopover. This also applied to a flight from Rotterdam to Faro, Portugal, a Transavia spokesperson reported. “We initially received information from the Marechaussee that there would be a passenger on that flight who did not belong there. That is why that plane was preparing for a stopover in Bordeaux. When it turned out that it was another flight where something was wrong, that landing had already progressed so far that it was eventually made. But now the plane has landed in Faro.”
