Crevits withdraws from politics for a month on doctor’s orders

After Minister Crevits became ill last week during the budget negotiations of the Flemish government, she is now withdrawing from politics for four weeks. She does that on a doctor’s order. “To my great regret, I haven’t recovered enough to fly back into it with full energy. On a doctor’s order, the next four weeks are all about full recovery. Sometimes you go too long and too deep in the red. I honestly thought this wouldn’t happen to me, and yet…” the deputy prime minister said candidly on Facebook.

Benjamin Dalle and Jo Brouns temporarily take over tasks

During her absence, Benjamin Dalle and Jo Brouns will take care of Hilde Crevits’ duties. Benjamin Dalle will replace Crevits for the Welfare, Public Health and Family competences and Jo Brouns for Sea Fisheries. Both gentlemen will share the Vice Prime Minister.
