TO first sight, the meeting between Kate Middleton and some members of the Royal Navy, which took place yesterday in a sumptuous hall of Windsor Castle, could seem an official commitment like many others. In reality, the British media say today, it was much more. The new princess of Wales, who arrived without her husband William, took the opportunity to give new proof of her innate royalty.
Kate Middleton makes us forget her commoner origins
The images taken during the event show her chatting cordially with the members of the HMS Glasgowa very sophisticated warship currently under construction in Scotland. K.ate, 40, has had her explain how the works are goingwhat their roles are, and paid particular attention to the plan for the vessel’s eventual water baptism.
The gift received from Queen Elizabeth
It was Queen Elizabeth, in June 2021, who approved the appointment of Kate as godmother of the HMS Glasgow and it will be Middleton to inaugurate the ship in three years, at the end of construction. An assignment that is well suited to a princess of Wales, a title that once belonged to Lady Diana and automatically assigned to her by Charles III upon Elizabeth’s death.

Kate is ready to rise to the throne of England one day
In the coming weeks Kate will be increasingly busy in Windsor, where she will take the place of Camilla, queen consort. Middleton moved in with William and their three children just over a month ago, in the nearby Adelaide Cottage, to be closer to Elizabeth. Now, however, she is actually taking her place. For her rehearsal as a queen.
