Austerity measures in Nuremberg: According to city decisions, the second division soccer team may only use its stadium floodlights until 9 p.m. This can also affect the schedule of the league.

In the course of the energy crisis, the stadium operations of 1. FC Nuremberg are severely restricted. According to a statement from the Nuremberg City Council, the floodlights in the Max Morlock Stadium are to be limited to a maximum of 9 p.m.

Late Saturday game no longer possible

Evening games are for the current table 13. of the 2nd Bundesliga in the future is therefore virtually impossible. On Saturday there is a 8:30 p.m. game in the league, which Nuremberg could no longer play at home.

According to the city council, the corresponding resolutions have been agreed with the German Football League. The turf heating in the stadium should also no longer be put into operation for the time being.
