Prince Nikolai has told how he feels about losing the title of prince at the beginning of next year.
The Danish Court informed the Queen on September 28 Margaret’s of the decision to strip his four grandchildren of their royal titles.
The change concerns Margareta’s younger son, the prince Joachim’s offspring: prince Nicholas23, a prince Felix20, a prince Henrik13 and a princess Athena10.

Prince Nikolai commented on his grief to the Danish tabloid Extrabladet. He says that he is very desperate about the situation.

From the beginning of 2023, Prince Joachim’s children will be called with the titles of Count or Countess of Monpezat. The decision also applies to the possible descendants of Nikolai, Felix, Henrik and Athena.
