Our National Football Team went to Denmark for the Faroe Islands match

The A National Football Team, which will face the Faroe Islands in the last match of the UEFA Nations C League 1st Group, went to Denmark.
A National Football Team went to Billund, Denmark for the last match of UEFA Nations C League 1st Group, which will play away against Faroe Islands on Sunday, 25 September. Speaking to members of the press at the airport entrance, Mehmet Büyükekşi, President of the Turkish Football Federation, said, “We came out as the leader of the group. Of course, we are happy, but we have a bit of sad joy. The result of yesterday’s match was supposed to be a win, unfortunately it ended in a draw. But there are also these in football. We don’t win. There were both weather conditions and injuries. Therefore, 4 players were removed from the national team squad today, 4 players were replaced by them. Today we will take these football players to the Faroe Islands. I hope we win the next match, we are already the leader, we will win 5 matches and win 1 game. We want to return to Turkey with the match tied. In the next days, we plan to play 2 friendly matches between the World Cup. One will be with Scotland in Diyarbakir and the other with Czechia in Gaziantep. New players will be added to the national team there. These 2 friendly matches will be important in terms of our game plan and seeing them. It will make a great contribution to the planning. In October, the groups will be drawn for the European Championship. In this draw, we hope to be in the top 2 to participate in the European Championship by drawing a lucky draw.”

YUSUF DEMIR’S NATIONAL TEAM STATUS
Asked whether Yusuf Demir, who wears the Galatasaray jersey, can play in the A National Football Team, President Büyükekşi said, “Because he played for the Austrian National Team 4 times, he cannot play in the Turkish National Team. According to the FIFA rules, he can play in the National Team. There doesn’t seem to be any possibility,” he replied.
