Paques Biomaterials sets up a multi-million dollar factory at Getec Park.Emmen. The arrival of the factory will create 40 new jobs

Paques Biomaterials establishes itself at the Getec Park.Emmen. A smaller demo installation for bio plastic will be built next year at the park, which will be put into use the same year. This will be followed by the large factory, which will be ready in 2026.

The total investment is approximately 58 million euros. About 40 jobs will be created with the arrival of the factory.

Paques Biomaterials ultimately turns organic waste streams such as organic waste into biodegradable plastic. These plastics are used in paints, clothing, cosmetics and agriculture. The extraction factory will be built on a plot of 3.2 hectares between Getec Park.Emmen and the ring road.

Energy is produced in the business park in the form of electricity, gas, steam, water and compressed air. It also houses related services such as wastewater treatment, engineering and logistics and laboratory services.
