Soon to be Queen Elizabeth’s after the death, it was reported that his beloved corgis will find new homes.

This was the case with two dogs.

Corgi Muick, together with Sandy, got a new home in the house owned by the prince Andrew and his ex-spouse Sarah Ferguson. The house is located on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Elisabet received Muick as a gift during the corona pandemic, when her husband the prince Philip was in the hospital. He received Sandy as a gift from Andrew and his children in June 2021, when Philip would have turned 100 years old.

What about Lissy, that cocker spaniel the queen got in January and Candy, a 13-year-old dorgi (dachshund and corgi mix), where are they? It is not known.

It is known that a new home is being sought for the dogs, but it has not been told if a new home has already been found and where it is.

Elisabet loved her dogs, of which she had several during her long life. He got his first dog, Dookie, in 1933.

Not everyone at court was fond of dogs. Penny Junor’s book All The Queen’s Corgis tells how the princess Diana said one dog was a “carpet that moves”. Prince Philip, on the other hand, often spoke of “the dogs of hell”.

And the court waiter once gave the dogs gin and whiskey. It was a kick.

Queen Elizabeth died on September 8 at the age of 96.
