Albert Gudmundsson continues his career in Italy with Genoa. According to De Telegraaf, the sale of the Icelander will yield 1.2 million euros for the Alkmaarders. The attacking midfielder’s contract expired this summer.
Gudmundsson still has to make ends meet with the club in relegation trouble from the Serie A. For AZ, the 24-year-old Gudmundsson played 74 league games in which he scored 17 goals. He previously played for PSV.
AZ itself does not want to confirm the switch.
