A 12-year-old was injured in the face when a glass bottle was thrown in connection with the district derby between BVB and FC Schalke 04 (1-0).
According to the federal police, the boy is suspected of having broken his nose and had to go to the hospital.
The federal police are now investigating dangerous bodily harm and placed a 20-year-old from Gelsenkirchen at the train station in Castrop-Rauxel.
He had thrown a glass bottle from the waiting S2 in the direction of Essen and hit the 12-year-old in the face. The S04 supporter admitted the crime on the spot and immediately apologized to the boy from Castrop-Rauxel.
In the relief trains, with which around 1,400 fans from Gelsenkirchen had reached Dortmund’s main station, federal police officers found several damage to property. In one go, the ceiling paneling was damaged.
In addition, the pane of a door was broken. Unknown persons had thrown previously unknown objects at the train on the outward journey, which shattered the window. An investigation into property damage was launched.
