René van der Gijp thinks it is very sad that Eva Jinek is forced to fill her talk show with an item about nude runners. “Then you as an editor are really just distraught.”
According to René van der Gijp, the level of the talk show of Eva Jinek is slipping further and further. She had an item about nude recreation in Tuesday’s episode, in which nude walker Toni Peroni en passant revealed that he had run into Humberto Tan at the Castricum nudist beach the day before.
‘Don’t do this to Eve’
René completely misses the urgency of this talk show item. “I was watching Jinek and then there were three people, two boys and a woman, who always go to a campsite with their bare wimps. Then I thought: then you as an editor are just distraught if you invite that, because you can’t do that to Eva.”
Eva is treated way too carelessly, he thinks. “I think Eva is just okay in journalism, she’s just good, she can interview well and she shouldn’t ask people: ‘If you walk naked, how far behind each other are you in the supermarket?’ You can’t do that to someone like that.”
‘What are you supposed to do with it?’
René is completely unaware of the news value of this item. “Those people who lie on the beach with their pieleman, what do you do with them?”
Colleague Johan Derksen: “Leave those people in bed, but I don’t think it’s a news item.”
René: “No, this is not news. This is not news. This is not good.”
Wilfred Genee finally: “I also thought it was remarkable from Humberto.”
