The Queen’s will remains secret

Queen Elizabeth’s will is stored in secret along with more than 30 other royal wills.

The will of the late Queen Elizabeth will be sealed and deposited in a safe for 90 years, says a British newspaper Mirror.

Publishing the will to the public would have revealed the queen’s true wealth, and keeping it secret protects the members of the royal family.

There are more than 30 royal wills in the same compartment. The sealing of wills of deceased members of the royal family began in 1910. The documents are kept in London, but the exact location has not been disclosed.

Even the court judges who keep the documents have not seen the contents of the papers.

The tradition of sealing wills became public knowledge only after the death of Prince Philip in April 2021. At that time, the judge who dealt with the matter wanted to bring the process to the public so that citizens would understand what the tradition is about.

Elisabet’s other assets, such as the swans and trotting horses she owned, have already been distributed.
