After demotion at VfL Wolfsburg: Max Kruse posts a grin selfie

According to the coach, Max Kruse will no longer play for VfL Wolfsburg under Niko Kovac. The Croatian confirmed that on Saturday after the 1-0 win at Eintracht Frankfurt. In the meantime, the sorted out person has sent a first sign of life on social media.

“We demand 100% identification and concentration from every player with a focus on VfL. We didn’t have that feeling with Max. That’s why he wasn’t there and won’t be there in the future,” said Kovac after the 1-0 win Eintracht Frankfurt on “Sky”.

The ex-national player was already missing from the squad for Lower Saxony’s first win of the season.

When asked by the reporter whether this was the end of Kruse’s time in Wolfsburg, Kovac answered briefly: “Yes.” Will Kruse really not play anymore? “No.”

As a coach, he has a responsibility to help the team, Kovac clarified. “We didn’t see any impetus from Max that he could help the team. “The club is above everything and that’s why we made the decision together.”

Kruse posts a grin selfie with party music

Later on Saturday, Kruse sent a first sign of life after his demotion. A post on Instagram left a lot of room for interpretation.

The eccentric attacker posted a mirror selfie in an elevator – with a striking grin. A party song played in the background.

It was unclear whether Kruse wanted to make a statement against the club’s action. Apparently his second exit in Wolfsburg didn’t spoil his mood.
