Ajax will ‘just’ play at Anfield against Liverpool next Tuesday. Due to the death of the British Queen Elizabeth, it was unclear whether the duel would continue. This weekend’s matches in the Premier League were canceled for that reason.
The Queen of the United Kingdom passed away on Thursday at the age of 96 after reigning for 70 years. Priscilla Janssens, UEFA representative as venue director reports on Twitter tonight that the European duels on English soil will continue.
That is not only good news for Ajax, but also for PSV. The Eindhoven team will play their second group match in the Europa League in London against Arsenal on Thursday. Supporters are allowed to be present at both matches.
