80,000-seat stadium opened to host the World Cup final



In Doha, the capital of Qatar, the Lusail Stadium, the largest stadium built to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup matches, was inaugurated.


The opening of the stadium was held with the match played between Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal team and Egypt’s Ez-Zemalik team within the framework of the Lusail Super Cup.


In the statement made by the Project and Cultural Heritage High Committee, which is responsible for the preparations of the organization, the fans who will go to the stadium to watch the opening match are called to use public transportation.


Different cultural and entertainment programs were held at the stadium before the match started.


The 80,000-capacity Lusail Stadium, the largest of the eight stadiums hosting World Cup matches, will host the 2022 FIFA World Cup final.


The FIFA 2022 World Cup will kick off with the Qatar-Ecuador match on 20 November.
