Status: 07.09.2022 21:46

The title aspirants in the Handball Bundesliga did not show any weaknesses on the second day of the game either. THW Kiel, SG Flensburg-Handewitt and Füchse Berlin won their games.

Record champion Kiel won 32:22 (14:13) at SC DHfK Leipzig, Flensburg beat GWD Minden 36:23 (20:12) and Foxes beat HSG Wetzlar 37:25 (18:11).

The Kielers had to cope with the most difficult task. Leipzig were solid in defense and had a good goalkeeper between the posts in Mohamed El-Tayar. The Saxons initially managed to stop the attacking machinery of the North Germans. After the break, THW trainer Filip Jicha prescribed a more offensive cover variant for his players, which forced the hosts to lose possession several times. The preliminary decision was made at 23:18 in the 42nd minute.

Berlin and Flensburg, on the other hand, had already ensured clear conditions in the first half. The best foxes thrower was Tim Freihöfer with eight hits. Emil Jakobsen was successful nine times for Flensburg. TBV Lemgo Lippe conceded the second defeat at 31:34 (12:14) at Frisch Auf Göppingen. TSV Hannover-Burgdorf, on the other hand, celebrated a successful start to the season, winning 23:22 (9:10) at Bergisches HC after beating Leipzig in the opening game.
