Nick & Simon no longer next to each other in Madame Tussauds: ‘Hefty’

Nick & Simon were taken apart by the Madame Tussauds wax museum in Amsterdam. “At the beginning of the year they were still in a Volendam decor, with a seagull there.”

Annefleur Schipper, podcast maker and wax figure expert, was shocked yesterday during her visit to Madame Tussauds. Nick & Simon have been separated, she says at the talk show table of Khalid & Sophie. “At the beginning of the year, they were still sitting comfortably next to each other.”

Nick & Simon divorced

The rift between Nick & Simon immediately leads to a migration in Madame Tussauds. Annefleur first showed a photo from earlier this year in the talk show. “This was early this year, wasn’t it? They were cozy in Volendam, a seagull there. Then happiness was still very common. I went back this morning to see how it is now.”

And how is it now? “I was curious if they are still so cozy. I suddenly feel like a kind of waxy juice channel or something, but then I came across this: quite a big change. Unfortunately they are separated there.”

‘Tussauds supports Nick’

It is remarkable that such a museum responds so quickly, says Annefleur. “What I find funny about that is that this is recent news and apparently an entire room of employees has been debating about this, from: who has to leave and why? So it is very clear that a side has been chosen, because Simon is unfortunately no longer with us.”

Where has Simon gone then? “It is not under repair. I walked a little further, like you do in a museum, and then I came to the showbiz corner and there I came across a beautiful talk show studio. And who is there? Humberto with autocue and all. And who was his guest? Hoppakee!”

Not with Eva

How strange. Why didn’t they put Simon next to the wax figure of Eva Jinek? “There isn’t one. Humberto is the only talk show character there.”

Madame Tussauds is open every day from 10am to 6pm.
