Man stabbed at Philips Stadium in Eindhoven: suspect arrested

A 48-year-old man without a permanent residence was arrested on Thursday morning for a stabbing at the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven. A 41-year-old Eindhoven resident was seriously injured this weekend.

A motorcycle cop found the victim on Saturday night around a quarter to one in the bushes between the PSVlaan and the railway in Eindhoven. The man had probably been there for several hours, police said on Sunday morning. He had stab wounds.

Out of danger
A 112 correspondent said there was a trail of blood from the bike path to where the man was found. The victim was rushed to a hospital.

On Sunday, a police spokeswoman announced that the man is out of danger. He was still in intensive care. Police are asking witnesses to come forward.
