Police are still investigating incident Hoorn station, NS talks with conductor

The police are currently still busy investigating an incident at Hoorn station, last Thursday. A video went viral on social media before the weekend, in which a conductor picks up a man and throws it on the ground. The NS says it is awaiting the results of the investigation and will talk to the conductor.

The video shows how a conductor at the station in Hoorn a 21-year-old man hard hitting. After a few blows are dealt back and forth, the conductor lifts the man up and throws him on the ground. The 21-year-old man then lays down and grabs his head with his hands.

In a response to NH Nieuws, an NS spokesperson said that the police are currently investigating the cause of the incident. “That is still in full swing, we are waiting for the outcome of that investigation,” said the spokesperson. “Obviously we disapprove of this behavior from our employees.”

Conversation

According to the police, threats and assault against the conductor were the reason for the incident. It is not clear what consequences this will have for him. The NS indicates that a conversation will take place. “But it may also be that it has already been,” said a spokesperson. “In any case, we will definitely be in touch.”

The 21-year-old man was taken to the police station on Thursday evening after the incident at the station. He was released a day later, but he remains a suspect in the investigation.
